A: lots and lots and LOTS of people but it's easy to see why... the sweeping branches of delicate pink flowers that gently touch the blue Tidal Basin while framing monuments in the background is enough to take your breath away. In fact, it's enough to take about 1.5 million people's breath away which is the number of people estimated to have attended the festivals this past April. Fully aware of the challenges of a family portrait during peak season, it was this family's hope to capture a truly picturesque DC moment before an upcoming move out of the area. They were determined, and after meeting this family, I'd say that absolutely anything with them is possible! They are calm, collected, happy, and all around amazing. Rain scheduled for Friday? No-problem, they pulled together and were ready to move the session to Thursday. Traffic? No-problem, they jumped out of the car while Dad found a parking space, rented a bike, and met up with us in no time. Crowds of people? No-problem, they stuck together as a team, laughing and having fun through it all. I've said it before and will say it again, M Family, you all amaze me :) - hr
Autumn, one of the best seasons of the year...
It's snowy outside. Cold, freezing, icy, yuck. Take me back to a time with that beautiful golden glowing sun, leaves crunching underfoot and giggles of kiddos as they can run to their hearts content without layers upon layers of winter gear. It was this exact type of autumn perfection that greeted us for a portrait session with an a-maze-ing family in Gainesville. They laugh together, play together, and are so full of love it's enough to warm up any winter day. Keep that sun shining sweet family and thanks for sharing it with us all

Wonderful One
She adored her tutu, made with love by mommy. Her sparkly chucks and rockstar tights matched her girly grey cardigan perfectly and the cake was iced with delicate pink accents. Everything was ready. She waited patiently as the cake touched down, streeeetched to get that first hand full of icing, thought for a second, and started to wail. This never-met-a-food-she-wouldn't-try girl was absolutely petrified of the itty bitty cake. tee hee. The cake was whisked away to a nearby room and once again we were all smiles. With a smile that sweet who needs cake anyways? Happy Birthday little miss, I'd take your smile over sugar any day - hr
Fall Family Fun
Family sessions are always a blast, but these four were not just fun, they were absolute rock stars in front of the camera! Thank you so very much lil miss & mister for the fabulous time playing hide and seek, chase, peek a boo, and of course, magical fairies. You all taught me that every twig can be a wand and every leaf pile is far more fun when it's thrown in the air. Abracadabra! - hr
