New York City, wow is it amazing! I had the awesome opportunity to travel up to NYC and photograph this beautiful couple's engagement portraits. High Line, subway stations, Brooklyn and DUMBO were all the perfect backdrop for a couple so in love. Thank you both for sharing your city, engagement, and sheer happiness with us! I heart NYC ;) - hr
Andrew WK
I'm a little behind in posting these photos, sorry for the delay! Evidently I blinked and it's now October? But all the same, Andrew WK is a performance that can be enjoyed year round. The photos below were from the final show of his solo tour back in June. He has since gone on to tour with Black Sabbath as well as Marky Ramone. The show was wild, crazy, people were flying, flailing and falling everywhere. Probably exactly as you would imagine an Andrew WK concert would be. I'd like to thank my husband for blocking the many people who came flying towards the stage...and my head :) because as Mr. WK himself would say, "when it's time to party we will party hard" - hr
Carousel
Life is like a carousel...
Sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down, and sometimes you just go round and round...
but remember, just smile, laugh, and enjoy the ride :)
11 Countries, 11 Months. World Race.
Amie, she's the girl who meets the world with a smile, and who has always, always, done everything she can to help change that world for the better. Ask anyone she knows and they will tell you she is one of their absolute dearest and best friends; it's just who she is :) Over the past decade she has given all of her time and poured all of her love into teaching at a local elementary school. Absolutely one of the hardest jobs in the world in my opinion, Amie always took it a step further, tutoring after hours to help students who needed a little extra time, developing creative lesson plans to keep her students engaged, anything and everything she could do to serve the people around her. In the next few days, Amie will leave the United States for an 11 month, 11 country mission trip called the World Race. The World Race is a division of Adventures in Missions which has taken over 100,000 people into the mission field since they were established in 1989. One backpack, a daybag, tent, and faith will take Amie and her fellow racers through Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaiziland, and South Africa. Each country brings a new way to serve, from building churches and shelters, to feeding the hungry. I can't imagine anyone more ready for this journey; someone who loves with her whole heart, teaches with her whole being and shares her everything. Leave your handprint on the world amie b as you have left it on so many of our hearts already, all our love sweet friend - hr
